Lung CT screening provides more detailed information than conventional X-rays making it possible to diagnose & manage lung cancer earlier & more effectively. Computed Tomography, commonly known as CT or CAT scanning, is a non-invasive diagnostic tool.  What are lung nodules? They are small masses of tissue in the lung that appear as round, white spots on a chest X-ray or CT scan. Because lung nodules rarely have symptoms, they are usually found incidentally in imaging done for other conditions, like a respiratory illness. CT scanning is fast, painless, noninvasive, and accurate. Because it can detect very small nodules in the lung, chest CT is especially effective for diagnosing lung cancer at its earliest, most curable stage.
