Description

An Abdominal X-ray is a type of X-ray used to examine the organs and structures in the abdomen. It is usually done to evaluate the stomach and internal organs like liver, intestine and spleen and in cases when you feel pain in the abdomen. Abdominal x-ray is a commonly performed diagnostic x-ray examination that produces images of the organs in the abdominal cavity including the stomach, liver, intestines and spleen. When an abdominal x-ray is performed to provide pictures of the kidneys, ureters and bladder, it’s called a KUB x-ray. An abdominal x-ray is an imaging test to look at organs and structures in the abdomen. Organs include the liver, spleen, stomach, and intestines. The bones of the lower spine are also visible.
